First, let me thank each of you who has ever given me a chance to assist you over the past five years in finding the RIGHT expert in your case. Making the move in 2008 from being the client to serving clients has been a wonderful career change for me. And frankly, after 35 years of a more traditional practice of law, the move revitalized me.

NAVIGATING SOME TOUGH WATERS

But various unexpected events over the course of the past couple of years (including health issues) have combined to remove me from the fun part of this business (working with my clients) and, frankly, I personally needed a change to help regain some of the excitement I generated when I first “retired” from Waste Management five years ago. I believe I have found the platform from which I can best serve you, we can get the best outcomes together and we can do it all in an upbeat and positive atmosphere.

BERKELEY RESEARCH GROUP

That platform, Berkeley Research Group, LLC, was formed just a few years ago at a time when other litigation support (expert) companies were sliding out of the business. I viewed their rise from afar, but I knew many of the founders, experts and staff and I sensed their approach would work and that I could add value to their growth. Now that the opportunity to join BRG has arisen, it made perfect sense to grab the ‘brass ring’ while I could.

BENEFIT TO THE CLIENT

So what does that mean to my clients? Over the course of the next weeks and months, I hope to reach out to each of you often with news of BRG’s growth, successes and, most importantly, ongoing expansion of areas-of-expertise. We won’t always have the RIGHT expert for your need, but I can assure you we will often have great candidates, and you will find many of them are RIGHT for you. Further, you should know that by engaging through me, you assure my continued involvement in your matter to the extent you desire and I can help. Often, as we all know, even under the new rules there is a need for a liaison role, a role I have played often and will continue to play for my clients.

FOCUS WILL BE AT BRG

As many of you know, I recently created a company through which I provided these services, Craig III Consulting, LLC. For all intents and purposes, Craig III Consulting will go dormant handling only rare instances when expert work can’t be performed though BRG. But running my own company has given me some insights that I hope will become invaluable for my clients, so the endeavor has not been without success.
